My Uniform

I love fashion although I find myself wearing basically the same thing day after day. I think it is safe to say this has become my uniform for the season. Sure I may mix it up once in a while with a dress, but this is me paired with boots or ballet flats. The tunic can be switched out with a long sweater though. Oh, did I happen to mention that I just found out my husband does not care for my leggings he is more of a blue jean guy, oops.

I am starting my day for the next 21 days doing this. Want to join me? You can hear it live every morning at 6am.

  1. Well, I have to say that if after two children you still look great enough to pull off leggings (and since you've put your picture up we all know you do!) then you wear whatever you want to! (I am challenged in the scarf department, myself-- I can't figure out how to tie one on beautifully for the life of me...)

  2. CUTE. And you certainly have the legs for this outfit. :)
Ya, my husband also isn't into the leggings thing. Or bun in hair, flower brooches or, sorry, ballet flats. But the important thing is that WE like the way we look!
    Enjoy your day!

  7. Love your uniform, it is mine as well. I am a SAHM and it's nice to know that I can leave my house and be in style without trying. Just add boots! I took advantage of the holiday sales and bought three pairs:)

  8. That is so funny because I just had a similar conversation with my husband. He is not a fan of leggings. I just think they are so darn easy & comfortable.

  9. I too am hooked on leggings although not thin enough to wear them without a long sweater dress or something. Funny your husband likes jeans better. Save jeans for date night and enjoy being cute and casual the other times.

  10. This is such a comfortable and chic look....and,hey, I see they are actually making "jean leggings" so maybe you can compromise for the husband :)

  11. It must the short cold days, I feel like I am in "uniform" mode with my wardrobe these days too. I just LOVE leggings! Especially the really thick ones, they actually "suck" me in a bit and make me feel skinnier!

  12. Love, love, love leggings, and was starting to feel bad that I wear them ALL OF THE TIME. Now that I know I'm not alone, I'll go forward with strength! :) I've decided that I'm going to be more intentional about prayer this year, too. Best of luck!

  13. I love it. I wear this outfit a lot too with either leggings or skinny jeans. It's so easy and comfy. I need to go check out the link for the 21 days!

  14. Nothing wrong with a staple look. Perhaps skinny jeans would suit both you and your hubby's needs :)

  15. I do not have the legs to pull off leggings-as-pants in public. But in my house I am ALL about it. Need to go grab a few more pairs before all the stores switch to summer clothes!

    I'm praying/fasting too :)

  17. Simple, effortless, and very chic. That's what I like about your "uniform" best, Paula. I bet it's super comfy as well.

I'd love to join in prayer every day! I certainly don't attend church as much as I used to now that the wee one is up and running. Thank you for the opportunity!

  20. LOVE it. It's funny how we fall into certain patterns with clothing we wear. I do like this very much. Especially that scarf -- I've been looking for a scarf like that.

  21. cute uni if you ask me...but guys are weird that way.

  22. I am the same way. Lately its been comfy dresses I can just throw on. If it was colder I would be wearing something very similar. :)

  23. I love scarves - I have so many hanging over the end of bed. I got a super new linen grey one from hubbie for Christmas and I can' wait to make it have that 'worn' look. xx

  24. Your "uniform" is chic! I adore tights, also -- they're just so comfortable and yet, look polished, being so fitted.

Thank you also for sharing this live program -- I usually only get to go to church 1-2 Sundays a month (due to work) but this is a nice option each morning. Sometimes, I also listen to my pastor speaking from a past service. I wish I could go to church 3 times a week...

I hope you have a blessed day*

  25. Parring down your wardrobe to a workable uniform is a great idea.. I remember seeing Gwen talk about that on Goop and I love the idea of making getting dressed a bit easier! I'm sure you look fab :)

  26. Comfy but still edgy, love it. Oh , and what you're doing for the next 21 days is amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think it is a very stylish everydat look! I just got some skinny jeans and have been wearing them almost every day...

  30. Oh yes! The perfect mommy outfit that doesn't scream "I'm a mommy".
Oh, and it's all from my FAVORITE stores.

  32. I think we all get stuck in a "basics" rut when we're comfy and busy working, I love your blog, I just discovered it. You seem to love both the things I love to work with, fashion and interiors. I sell furniture and study fashion design, it's all so easy to relate. BTW my husband doesn't like leggings either.... must be a man thing.

  33. I really like this look. Its so relaxed and simple. My Huzz just doesn't get the leggings and flats either though!

  34. That scarf is great. I'm going to see about getting it in navy.

  35. That's so funny that you call it your uniform too! I have found I lose all creativity in dressing during the winter. I get so cold I find myself dressing for comfort instead of style. My uniform has become NY&Co's velour sweatsuits. I have 5 of them now!

Once spring comes I promise I will get stylish again!
