Bird Feeders

It seems here in the south we have completely skipped spring and went straight to summer. That's fine with me though as long as the sun is shining. We have been spending most days outside and I am happy to see that most of my plants are coming bake spite the harsh winter we had. This year I think we will add a bird feeder for all our feathered friends. The first one would go quite nicely with the current Auburn bird house we have.

*And for all of you that asked about my hair, I will have a post about it sometime next week. Pictures and all. It is definitely a complete transformation.

  1. I like these ideas for bird feeders. I promised my kids we would get one this year. I was thinking that we would make one, but I'm liking the idea of these better! :) Oh! I'm so glad that it is warm right now for you... I'm enjoying the warmth in Vegas while on spring break with the family, but back home in SLC they are having crazy blizzards! Not looking forward to going home.

  3. I've been looking at those top two for a few weeks now. I love them. Much better than the very plain home depot one we have now. Your kiddos will love having it. We put ours up last spring and filling it (daily!!! Wow lots of birds!) was a huge hit. Plus it can be their 'chore' or project. My son tells me when it needs filling and I just 'help' him do it. He takes ownership of it. Enjoy!

  4. I love bird feeders but I'm sticking with the hummmingbirds! they are too cute and tiny! I am excited to attract them to the new place I loved all of them at my old house.

  8. These are adorable. We have used a feeder for the whole winter and I have enjoyed watching all the different birds come and eat. I had to move it away from my back door because they were tossing their seeds everywhere and making quite a mess!

  10. Paula - there's a guy who lives in Mt Laurel who makes bird houses without a back. They stick to your window so you can see the birds inside! I might buy one and try to cute it up a big.

Also, good to know you're an Auburn girl! War Eagle! --Katy

  11. Oh the squirrels kill me in our yard. I've been thinking about planting things that attract butterflies and then maybe adding a hummingbird feeder but I've yet to find a cool looking one.

I love bird feeders and really could spend my savings on feeders and boxes. I adore the last image - is that a leather plait?

  17. we had a neighbor who was big on bird feeders and we had a dog who had food on our back porch. That equals lots of bird poop on your back porch:) I like the orange one, very fun

  20. A bird feeder would be a lovely addition to a yard. I would love to have one and get some pretty birds instead of moths and other insects. x
