A Few New Things

I am not sure if you remember, but part of my New Year resolutions of sorts was to simplify. I feel as if I am getting there slowly but surely. One step towards this goal was to refrain from buying lamps for 6 months. I have a bit of addiction to them. So my time is up and I came home with this beauty and another similar tall lamp which will be revealed along with Ellie's room. Honestly I think it would have been hard not to get them even if my time were not up. Isn't she gorgeous? If you can't tell this is my entry which is always changing. This feels perfect for summer to me. The copper planter is filled with sea shells from all our beach tips, the glass bottle holds my favorite flower, the thrift store bowl with gold detailing is perfect for mints, and my favorite new piece is a print I won from Le Papier Studio. I think a print like this would make for a unique wedding gift. I just adore her shop and blog. Vana truly is an inspiration.

  3. What a beautiful entry! You have good will power to do no lamps in six months. Is that a HG lamp? I think I have its big brother...the floor lamp.

  14. This is stunning and so simple! Bingo! I too need to take my lighting purchases down a notch ;)

I have a question for you, we go around to a lot of the same blogs and I am hurting my brain trying to remember which blog had the foyer with the welcome sign that was done with letters in all different fonts and textures. I didn't save the image and now I need it for a client. Do you remember? If you happen to know can you leave me a comment please? If not don't hurt your brain trying to remember :) Thank you!

PS. Why isn't there a J.Crew home store??? Am i crazy in this thought?

I must have the wire bin under your table. Where would I find something like this?? All I ever see are fabric or "wicker-ish" baskets?

  24. Dana you are too sweet. I actually got mine at a local shop that has since closed down. I know pottery barn has a smaller wire basket thats great for shelves and a laundry hamper that is tall.
