I wish nothing more for my little ones to always see life through the brilliant eyes, magical imagination, and creative hands that they have now. Fab quote! xo
Paula- Thanks for sharing this quote! I was thinking this morning why children's art is so amazing. Is it that they are fearless and don't worry about it? They just make art and it's true and expressive. Loretta
I just read a little book on Picasso and when he was young and in Paris his apartment was robbed. He was angry because they didn't take his paintings!
Yes, LOVE this quote. Could not be more true and watch Emerson every day and wonder when she will start to judge her creativity. The idea of that breaks my heart and I wonder how I can protect her from that.
As a former Art Teacher and a Mommy of a fabulous son...this is my favorite quote! I had it framed in my Art Room. I am about to give you a shout-out on the neo-traditionalist's blog, she is talking about quotes!
not sure if I have posted to you before...but I am a fan! ;)
If you have never seen the neo-traduitionalist...you should check out her blog...she is pretty fabulous...I think you (in all of your cuteness) would totally appreciate her!
Love this so much and see the thought echoing in my little one's words everytime she 'tells me a story'- which is what she calls drawing/painting a picture. Nothing like the world through the eyes of a child:)
love this--yes, so true.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree! Great post! :)
ReplyDeleteI've always heard that the minute we stop making art, that's the age our artistic skills are frozen.
ReplyDeleteIt's why I've always been afraid to stop!
Flying over to visit you on Mrs. French. I do love your style.
Great quote. About to hop over to Mrs. French.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite artistic quotes.......
