Today I am further discussing Jenny's brilliant post from yesterday on colored matting over on Mrs. French. Love the idea and especially love this image of Kate Spade's home. I think it represents the idea perfectly.
The yellow, green and triangle floors make it so beautifully retro. Usually I don't like the 50's feel, but it doesn't surprise me that Kate knows how to do it right!
I always send my artwork matted and it is either very colorful or pure white.... now can those "Spades" do anything less than pefect... love the green matting. pve

ReplyDeleteI read that post as well and was stunned that I've never really considered this before- I think it's gorgeous...and the emerald green, my favourite!
ReplyDeleteGoing to read the post, but I adore the green matting...such a simple way to add a pop of color!!

I used to have coloured matting years ago and then I switched everything to white. Funny how things come back around - loving that perky green! :)
