The Holiday

Since I have been sharing what I did while hubby was away all week I thought I mine as well continue till the end. On the nights I did not want to sew I would pop in one of my favorite "girly" movies and sit back and relax. One of my all time faves is The Holiday. What I love more is the decor in Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz) home. I love the simplicity of it all. The textures and color palette have me swooning.

I was so very excited when the lovely ladies of Fiddlesticks and Funny Girls posted photos of this amazing home. They also posted photos of Iris's (Kate Winslet's) home in case you want to take a gander.

I love The Holiday. Personally, I would move into Iris' home in one second and I don't think I would change a thing, except, I might like that pool, fitness room, and kitchen. Hmm, can I have both? Those houses are really like the best of both worlds.

I can see why! I love it, too. I've been meaning to watch that movie forever, but it always seems to slip my mind. I'm heading to Netflix immediately. THANK YOU!

The thing I loved most about her comfy bedroom was the remote control curtains!

love all of those lanterns!

I haven't seen The Holiday ... may have to grab it from the Red Box one night when hubby's not home.

So hard to choose. Each house appeals to a different part of my personality. I think I would want the "city" house for the day to day, but the "country" house for romantic weekends. Perfect balance.

I love these houses - such clean lines, so beautiful. I did like seeing the contrast of both those homes from the movies, so fun.
