First Day of School


Ellie started preschool today, so I will resume full posting tomorrow while my heart breaks for the rest of the day. Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

  6. Mine too, heart breaking, that is. And my two are in fourth and second grade. You'd think I was over it by now.

    I hope she has a wonderful day. I bet she'll be all smiles and full of stories when she comes home!

    And that skirt...too cute for words, really!

  14. My little girl started last week and I didn't make it back to the car before I started sobbing. It's so much harder on mommies. I am thinking of you.

  20. last year my son started preschool and i felt weak every time i would say bye bye to him. I think it's harder on us moms than it is for them. She will love it...and you will love that you can do so much in the meantime.

  23. Oh, I'm aching with you. It's so hard. We just went to pick out a backpack and lunchbox today. Next week is meet the teacher and then 1st grade. Sniff. Hope Ellie had an awesome day and that you and your little guy had a good time together. (Love her skirt!)

  31. You will always cherish the memory of this day...even though it is bittersweet. Your daughter is beautiful! Every milestone is so precious.

    I STILL vividly recall the first day of kindgergarten when Brooke wanted to ride the bus home! She was fiercely independent, even then.

  35. I hate to say it, but it never gets easier. Each year you wonder why they have to grow up soooo fast and yes, your heart breaks just a bit each time. The up side is getting to hear all about their day--some priceless moments and chats are in your future. Enjoy those. :)
