Feeling Like Home

Since this will be a month of DIY projects here on Two Ellie then I only thought it be fitting to feature a DIY queen herself, Kristan Cunningham of HGTV. It seems the home is a rental so they did not want to invest a lot of money. For example her and her husband revamped the kitchen for under $1,000, looks fabulous to me. I love how it looks as if it all has come together over time. I enjoy seeing the wood piled up on the floor, although my children would see it as their own personal playground. Oh, and that rug I have been eying ever since seeing it in this local bloggers home. It would go lovely in my new room makeover, hmm.

I loved this apartment. I saw it on the LA Times website and was amazed what she did with so little money.

I cannot help but stare at that front door. Wish my rental looked like that! I'm saving to decorate the real thing when we buy!! great inspiration here though!

My jaw dropped when I saw that front door! It's incredible. There's so much I love about this home...the collection of bottles, the stack of books...I love it when designers show you that you can do really amazing things in your home and it doesn't have to cost a ton of money (which most of us don't have). I'm so glad you posted these pics!

I love the collection of blue glass ware. My grandmother has a very similar display and I'm always impressed with how chic it looks.

Love it. Plus, I kind of have a design celebrity crush on her anyway.

The lace hangings are wonderful. We have many but have never known how to share them, the black background really shows the intricacy of the craftwork.
