We had an amazing year in our new photography adventure. We were blessed beyond measure and could not be more grateful for all the people who took a chance on us. This was our first year into the wedding side of photography and we are smitten with it. We can not wait till a new year of growth and as a thank you from us we are hosting a giveaway for a free standard shoot in 2010! It's easy, to enter just hop on over to Kellen Jacob and vote for your favorite photo of '09. You will then be entered to win, woohoo! It was hard to choose our favorites, but a post can only be so long. We just finished up with the wedding of the couple above and hope to have a wedding post soon. She was stunning, he all dapper, pure perfection.

*Contest is open to local Birmingham residents only unless you want to travel to us. We will also include the Rosemary Beach area since we head that way every year.

LOL! I went to the site and saw where it said "this was a great year fro KJP" It took me a second to realize why this was reading so personally to me. My initals are KJP! I kept thinking "yes, it was a great year, thank you!" ;) Love yall and all you do!!!!
So glad it has gone so well for y'all. Does it have to be a wedding shoot? I would love to enter to have some photos taken of Baby C when he/she arrives!!
Since I can't enter I'll vote for my favorite(s) here: the bride on the striped sofa is a tie with your kids jumping in the field.
I'd say you two have had a very successful year. There are so many beautiful images.

Congrats! What an achievement. I wish you two continued success with the business because I love photography and hope to one day be able to have my own. I won't enter the contest because we have no plans to visit Birmingham anytime soon, but if hubby gets a job in Tuscaloosa like we dream, then we will call you two up for a family shoot.

I can't believe this was your first year for weddings! All the shots are beautiful! I love looking at your husband's blog and all the photography! I wish I still lived in Birmingham!
I'm a North Carolina gal, so I'm out of the running here, but I just have to say I really enjoyed looking at these pictures.
Being a mother, I love portraits of children more than anything. But my absolute favorite picture had to be-I think it was the third one down?
The one with the woman whispering/telling a joke to the man.
I find that humor and sharing with one another can get us through the darkest of times. It was a beautiful, simple picture, but it said alot to me.
