I came across this image while browsing on this fabulous new to me blog. I adore the way the windows push out, the fireplace, the iron based round table, and the chairs. Oh, and don't even get me started on the mirror, chandelier, and floors. I would love to dine here minus the kiddos, I could only imagine what the lovely seats would look like after.

So lovely...and I'm not above putting towels on my own children's seats, when we all dine in our dining room, not exactly Mommy Dearest...(but some may say a little overboard).
Love everything about this dining room and can only imagine the great dinner parties to be had!
This makes me want to paint the casings of my windows dark even more!

I love large round dining tables for formal spaces, and those windows (plus the view) are amazing.
This indeed is dining in style. I like the push out windows and the fireplace that sits symmetrically in the area.

I really like a fireplace in the dining room. For spaces that don't use a lot of fabric, they really warm up the room! Lovely.

Hey Paula...this made think that I would LOVE to see you post a couple of ideas of a practical dining space for a home with kids.
I want to redo my breakfast room area (I'm thinking a round table) and couple definitely use some inspiration...especially with the whole chair issue. I love upholstered white/ivory, but my spaghetti throwing toddler would turn it into artwork.
Any ideas?
