PINK

It seems I have become quite smitten with pink lately. Not to say I haven't always loved it. My wedding colors were pink, black, and white. I just never embraced it as a decor staple. Oh, not counting my daughters room, we fully embraced it there.

I have become especially smitten with this chair since posting it over a week ago...

I then came across this fabric at a fabulous local fabric shop...

I love how it is more raspberry pink then hot pink. I think it would look nice on a bench we have that I plan to put in the hall that leads to the kiddos rooms. It will sit under our (in progress) mixed frame gallery wall. For those who know I don't do too much color that is another story when it comes to my kiddos part of the house. And yes, when I go fabric shopping and don't want to check out samples I take a pic with my blackberry and it helps me remember pricing. I am practical like that.

The more I see "adult" versions of pink interiors...the more I love it.

Oooh- I love the fabric. I do the same thing with my cellphone, so I remember the color and the price.

I too am coming over to the pink side, slowly but surely. I love that first image you featured. The painting is gorgeous and tempers the pink so that it is not at all childish. I currently have one pink pillow in my office, perhaps that has to do with all he boys in the house. But I think I'll make it a goal to think pink!

Loved this post!

I'm craving some pop of pink in my home, but I don't think it'll work currently. I can't wait to see what you do!

Such pretty images!

I'm not a fan of rooms with pink walls, but I think a couple of pink accessories are a fresh, happy addition to a room.

I love that pink chair! I used to be slightly obsessed pink (I also wanted to be Elle Woods from Legally Blonde!) but then I painted my room pink when I was in 7th grade and it's still like that and I'm just a little tired of it. I am a fan of subtle pink accessories though!

Big fan of the extremes - either a very deep shade or a very pale one. Love the deep raspberry on the gold benches in the first image... Marija

Color me jealous. It would be tres difficult for me to get pink into the house. Maybe I should just sneak some in and see if he notices. Ah ha ha

That fat pink chair is marvelous, and I love what those hot pink walls do for that small room where the children are sitting. Lovely!

I like the splash of pink and this is from a gal who didn't like pink growing up. The last chair is the second one I have saw in the last couple days only with different fabric and I let out a big sigh each time because I had this chair a few years ago and gave it away. sigh... ENJOY! xo

I am really digging the pink chair. And as eldest has requested a little sister (wow), if we are blessed by the presence of another little girl I can't think of something more fun than a girly nursery with fun pink chairs.

Like...hot pink.

I just painted my daughter's room a pale pink and I smile every time I walk by it. Love the fabric you found - it's different, in a good way! Thanks for the link to my blog.

Love that chair and oh how I love pink. My wedding colors were pink and brown. I'm pretty much over that but still love pink in all its shades.

I loved that chair when you first posted it but it looks just as good second time round. That Martha room looks amazing too - flat, chalky pink is wonderful. And that pink fabric reminds me of the children's room you posted a while back now.

Pink has always been my favorite color, but I haven't done much decorating with it. After seeing it in some of these pictures, I think I will.

I found the most amazing (and warm) hot pink blanket at a thrift store. I know it grosses some out, but after washing twice, I figure I'm good. It's in perfect condition and is the perfect color pink! I wondering if I can work it into my bedroom plan . . .

I totally agree! Love that pink chair! And the first room is TDF!

I love pink but that's the one color the husband says no to.

But if we have a little girl in May.... I'm sure it will be a different story!
