Bird Feeders
It seems here in the south we have completely skipped spring and went straight to summer. That's fine with me though as long as the sun is shining. We have been spending most days outside and I am happy to see that most of my plants are coming bake spite the harsh winter we had. This year I think we will add a bird feeder for all our feathered friends. The first one would go quite nicely with the current Auburn bird house we have.

*And for all of you that asked about my hair, I will have a post about it sometime next week. Pictures and all. It is definitely a complete transformation.

I like these ideas for bird feeders. I promised my kids we would get one this year. I was thinking that we would make one, but I'm liking the idea of these better! :) Oh! I'm so glad that it is warm right now for you... I'm enjoying the warmth in Vegas while on spring break with the family, but back home in SLC they are having crazy blizzards! Not looking forward to going home.
Would love to add a birdfeeder to our backyard. Yes, can't wait to see the new do!
I've been looking at those top two for a few weeks now. I love them. Much better than the very plain home depot one we have now. Your kiddos will love having it. We put ours up last spring and filling it (daily!!! Wow lots of birds!) was a huge hit. Plus it can be their 'chore' or project. My son tells me when it needs filling and I just 'help' him do it. He takes ownership of it. Enjoy!
I love bird feeders but I'm sticking with the hummmingbirds! they are too cute and tiny! I am excited to attract them to the new place I loved all of them at my old house.
It is amazing how the birds seem to find the feeder and I could watch them all day if I had the time. such a fun thing for the kiddos to watch and learn from also. Kathysue
Oh, thanks for the resources - my kids have been wanting to put up a few bird feeders!!! Love that orange one!
it does seem like we missed spring, doesn't it? i don't know how i feel about this heat so soon!
These are adorable. We have used a feeder for the whole winter and I have enjoyed watching all the different birds come and eat. I had to move it away from my back door because they were tossing their seeds everywhere and making quite a mess!

We can't hang on to spring for more than a day! Lucky you!
Paula - there's a guy who lives in Mt Laurel who makes bird houses without a back. They stick to your window so you can see the birds inside! I might buy one and try to cute it up a big.
Also, good to know you're an Auburn girl! War Eagle! --Katy
Oh the squirrels kill me in our yard. I've been thinking about planting things that attract butterflies and then maybe adding a hummingbird feeder but I've yet to find a cool looking one.
I too love bird feeders, I like the idea of somethings fun and graphic. I also like the idea of the birds gracing my backyard...just not sure I am ready for early morning chirps. I feel like a horrible person! lol.
love this post...my little dog and i go out and feed the birds every morning. bird food is a regular itemon my sam's club list...i bought some just this morning.
i enjoy taking photographs of birds, too...fun, fun! i especially like that first feeder!
Before I forget going on about bird feeders, I wanted to tell you I am looking forward to the 'hair post' Paula.
I love bird feeders and really could spend my savings on feeders and boxes. I adore the last image - is that a leather plait?
xx
I left you a sunshine award on my blog! xo
i looove these bird feeders!
I am looking forward to having a nice big yard to put a bird feeder in! We are also loving this weather and spending lots of time outdoors. It is such a nice change from that long, long winter!
we had a neighbor who was big on bird feeders and we had a dog who had food on our back porch. That equals lots of bird poop on your back porch:) I like the orange one, very fun
We have a fun New England style (Walpole) birdhouse out back, it adds a little personality to the landscaping...but so many birds make nests in our outdoor porch columns...I gotta tell you...I can't stand those darn birds!!!!(sssshhh, its mean, I know!)
Love these... but for now I'm going to continue to work on keeping my 5 boys fed... and the dogs. *sigh... one day I'll feed the birds. xo Erica
A bird feeder would be a lovely addition to a yard. I would love to have one and get some pretty birds instead of moths and other insects. x
I like the orange bird feeder, who thought they could be stylish.. Can't wait to see the transformation. Cheers to your new look!
