Traditional with a Twist

This stunning home I found while browsing our local real estate listings. The decor is quite traditional, but with the muted tones it feels quite fresh and young. The lack of clutter helps too. I would say this fits my style to a tee. So much so I would be more than happy to move right in without changing a thing, love that.

Paula, this reminds me so much of one of my favorite homes from Cottage living. I wonder if it is the same decorator of if the owners of the house in CL moved into this place....I am going to try to find that magazine!! Love it!!!

The word that springs to mind is sumptuous! Looks like a house I could be very comfortable in.

This is beautiful. I think my favorite thing throughout is the lighting - there's nothing harsh, and there are fabulous shadows all over the place.

BTW - glad to see someone else stalks Bham MLS like I do! --Katy

I have to agree -I'd move in and hardly change a thing. Okay, I'd relocate that lucite table - for something that's transparent, it's oddly distracting in this space. Other than that, I'm in love!

I'm sold after seeing the first photo of the front porch. What a lovely space to enjoy a chilled glass of iced tea.

Wow! It's so rare to find houses on real estate listings that I would move into as it, but this is definitely one! I hope whoever ends up buying this place asks if they can get all the furniture too.

For those who were curious this home is going for $829,900. A 3 bedroom and 3 and a 1/2 bath. It is in one of the best/prestigious towns in Birmingham.
