Dining Bliss

Remember last week when I mentioned revamping my dining table? Well the Mr. said I could just get a new one. Still not 100% sure this is the route I want to go. I rather like the money sitting in savings and my taste is rather expensive, but we are budget people so it will have to be quite the find. Besides I haven't met the "one" yet. These are both zinc which I love, but I know are out of price range. I still love the idea of something more farmhouse like. Well, for now I will just ogle over these two rooms. The first is from Sally Wheats residence which is always a source of inspiration and the second although twice the size of our dining space has me smitten.

Hello - New to your blog, and I'm really enjoying it. Have you thought about having the top of your existing table wrapped in zinc?

I am loving the modern chairs mixed with the vintage feel- there's nothing like a farmhouse table! Thanks for sharing!

It might be more fun to redo yours! I don't know what I will do when it is time to get a new one!

A DR table is like your wedding dress, you will just KNOW when you find it.
Just another sign you are either an interior designer or into it too much when furniture gives you 'a moment'.

Swoon for photo #1! I adore S-Chairs and I have those ones in black at home. I have them mixed in with benches with an old far-style dining table (the table belonged to my husband's great grandmother and the chairs have long since been lost). It's a great mix of modern and tradition.

Good luck with yours!

If you get a new one and want to sell your old one, let me know! We currently don't have a table at all (we gave it away when we moved to China!) :)

That Sally Wheat dining room is such utter perfection. Sigh.

I love Sally Wheat's whole house. I'm looking for something farmhouse too on a budget... sigh!

So many fun options! Your table may not stand out to you as needing as much changing once you get your upholstered chairs back?!? Love all the party pics, btw.

I am finishing up our dining room but I need chairs and I can't find any that I am insane about. Well at least not any that I can afford. :)

Love the tables. If you're feeling crafty...I saw someone wrap their table in metal. I'm pretty sure it was the Design Mom blog (gabrielle blair). Could be fun!

i love dining rooms that have different types of chairs because they add so much interest to the house... maybe you can check out West Elm and their sale because they have such cute pieces at great prices!

I am dying for an oval zinc table for my breakfast area but it is not in the current budget either:( Love both of these... I live right near Sally Wheat (and Joni).

I'm in the process of getting a new dining table too, except i'm in an apartment so it will have to be small :(
