Baskets


I adore this image. Have for quite some time. It seems I am drawn to images that have a lovely basket within. I love the practicality of them and the simple and somewhat raw design. Today I am sharing my passion for baskets in my own home by sharing a few of my favorites on Veranda Interiors. Melissa has become quite the blog friend and I have enjoyed seeing her journey of building a new home, which will be stunning I am sure. Hope to see you there!

    Do you have a good resource for substantially-sized baskets, Paula? I'd like to use one as a planter...C&B? Pottery Barn?

    I too am a lover of baskets. I want two of them a large flat round one for my kitties to snuggle in with a blanket and one in my bedroom as a trash can. The one pictured above is lovely.

    It's so simple and so pretty. I'm a big fan of baskets like that one. I have one next to my fireplace and I keep my wood in it.

    Come on over to my home...I think I may just have maxed out on baskets in my bedroom. I have a total of 10...yikes! 8 are inserts in a bookshelf, one holds socks (that is always full, because I hate to put away socks for some reason) and the last is a large chest at the end of the bed. But some how it really doesn't seem overwhelming, maybe others would differ though :).

    I'm a bit of a basket case I have collected a few over the years, some are full some are empty, some move around the house and once every so often they all get hosed down and dried in the sun.

    Baskets are a must for me. I adore the ones with handles at pottery barn. They are big and beautiful.
