Part of my New Year resolutions was to learn how to cook and it seems I have developed a passion for it. Granted I am still no pro, but at least I am enjoying myself and others seem to like it. What more can I ask for? Well, I have decided that if I continue on my quest and become a kitchen guru then I will treat myself to some of these goodies...
1. Goldtouch Bakeware / 2. Santoku Knife / 3. Silpat Liner / 4. Mixing Bowls / 5. Immersion Blender / 6. Recipe Box
I love the sugar paper recipe box. I have been lusting over that for a while.
ReplyDeleteI'm still learning my way around the kitchen, and just got the cutest recipe book a few months back. It does make cooking a bit more exciting now! It has a lovely 1950-esque image on the cover with section dividers, pages for writing and slips for magazine cut outs... *sigh* I love it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that pink recipe box...everything really!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't rave enough about the Silpat. If you want to splurge, this is what you should put your money on. It's amazing. Never a burnt cook again. I swear.
ReplyDeleteI love kitchen gadgets. I go crazy in Williams Sonoma. That pink recipe card box is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love my Silpat mats-- and I really want an immersion blender!
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful that you are learning to cook, and enjoying it. :)
ReplyDeleteI adore that little recipe box.
I enjoy collecting kitchen gadgets and cookbooks. I have never seen a big recipe box. I like the splash of color. Happy Cooking! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking I may need a few of those things. I love to cook- but haven't been very inspired lately. But I did mix up some homemade cookies yesterday. Reminded me of how much I love to bake.
ReplyDeleteNow I am off to clean the kitchen!
Maybe if I had these I would be more inclined to cook!
ReplyDeleteI vote for you buying some of these things. They will help you become a kitchen guru. I used to be an awful cook and baker, but when I started to get things of this sort, I began to force myself to figure out ways to use them, and I have to say, my skills have drastically improved (so much that I daydream about culinary school).
ReplyDeleteI need to break down and get an immersion blender. i hear they are quite the thing.
ReplyDelete1,3, and 5 were all wedding gifts that I can't get enough of! I'm a cooking NUT so they were such fun to play with :) williams sonoma is a magical place!
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with the other girls. Get a Silpat - you'll be so glad you did!
ReplyDeleteLoving that pink recipe box - might make me keep those great ones I always seem to find in magazines and then forget to cut out!
ReplyDeletexx
I also swear by the Silpat. I always thought prep bowls were too much work, but they actually make cooking much more enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE kitchen gadgets. Serious! That silpat liner is a must, go get it NOW! And if your husband is not happy, blame me! :) Everything else is also wonderful. Williams Sonoma is a candy store for me.
ReplyDeleteSo, I just did a link to you from my blog on a post you did a bit ago. Hope that is ok with you! Have a happy day.
You picked some nice goodies! I really need # 3.
ReplyDeletethank you for highlighting these. i am in the midst of registering and always looking for great finds.
ReplyDeletei don't know the first thing about cooking but that hot pink recipe box might just change everything...
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you are enjoying yourself! Adore the recipe box! Happy Monday. xx
ReplyDeleteEveryone *swears* by those mixing bowls. A lot of bang for $38 bucks.
ReplyDeleteCooking was a resolution for me too! I'm glad we're both apparently enjoying it!
I have got to come up with some new recipes.. since the baby I have really been bad about cooking and if I do cook it is the same thing over and over again. Have you found any super fabulous recipes or any fav cooking blogs?
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should all do a recipe blog post swap or something... that would be fun!!!!
You def should get a santoku knife if you don't have one they are fabulous. I LOVE the Global knives at William Sonoma.. they are expensive but soooo worth it! Those are the ones that Giada uses. And I'm really digging that recipe box!
xx
What a darling recipe box to keep up with your kitchen adventures!
ReplyDeleteI have that knife! And it has changed everything for me! everything!
ReplyDeleteI'm not too great at making dinner, but I'm a pretty good baker! Love baking. That little recipe box is adorable.
ReplyDeleteGood choices! Definitely will need some good tools/fun things to motivate cooking! You can do it! Just keep trying!
ReplyDeleteI love that pink box, that would make me want to cook all the time!
ReplyDeleteI love all these things and have them on my registry list! of course, not sure that will make me a better cook, but i feel like if i have hte equipment, the talent will just appears!! ha
ReplyDeleteI too love my Silpat, but I use my goldtouch bakeware almost everyday. It washes like a dream and things don't seem to stick as bad as any of my regular bakeware. Don't get me wrong, you really can't go wrong with anything on your list. I love my knife and my blender. Who am I kidding, I love all things kitchen-related. Needless to say, I'm needing that recipe box.
ReplyDeleteI have two sets of those mixing bowls and I use them everyday! They are amazing, especially at that price!
ReplyDeleteyes! you should! i LOVE all of them. i'm also a firm believer in good gadgets make cooking easier. but don't let yourself fall into the trap of too many gadgets. i've learned that i use my chef knife for nearly everything ... not need for a garlic press, chopper, etc. way to go with cooking!
ReplyDeleteI (asked for) received an immersion blender for Christmas. Love it! Milk shakes for the boys, soups for us. I don't have a food processor and hated the mess of using the blender. I have used it more than I even thought I would.
