At the Beach: A Home

I would love to live at the beach. A dream that I will not let go of even if it really is quite impossible. Since I am dreaming I thought it to be only fitting to share where I would live, ha! Close to where we stay is Aly's Beach. It is a Mediterranean neighborhood that is Eco friendly all the way down to the building process. It reuses or recycles up to 75% of construction waste. It is beautiful and green, yeah! This could be my home... (well, if we had millions)

I know this post is incredibly long, but I could not choose which photos to show from this home. They are all so beautiful to me.

Where would your dream place to live be?
Update from the beach: My little man thought it would be fun to throw my blackberry into a pot of water. Needless to say my phone fizzled. I also found out my phone replied to many of your post comments. So sorry for any random e-mails you have recieved. I can't wait to visit you all when I get back next week!

oh, it would be so nice to live right by the beach. but it is so damn expensive. and i think i would worry about being washed out to sea.

that home is awesome.

I would have a small cottage by the beach (preferably on Coronado Island), a farm in the country, and a hip condo in Palm Springs if it was a perfect world:) ...too hard to choose just one if I am dreaming!

Aww, I thought I recognized those pics! When I was in school, I used their gorgeous real estate and marketing campaign as my inspiration for a project...beautiful! beautiful! beautiful! Don't you just love the music on their site, too? I play it while working sometimes / so relaxing.

I'm right with you, I vote Alys Beach, too :) I'm so glad you're having so much fun, Paula! I've been following your latest beach posts, all of them make me smile...

Yes, we can pretty much just label this place heaven and call it a day. Beautiful!

Those bedrooms are just incredible! Such bold features and prints.

My dream would be to live either on the ocean or Lake Michigan or Lake Superior, in a cottage with two stories and a cozy kitchen, two canoes, and a great studio space!

How amazing are those rooms! I would definitely want to live close to the beach. I live about an hour away here but it would be nice to actually live right across from one.

I can't quite decide which one I like most!

This place is incredible, isn't it? We have been taking a peek ever since they broke ground a few years ago...and it really is an amazing visual treat. I've never seen the inside of any of the homes, so thanks for sharing.

I may just have to bow out of our Richard Gere house time-share agreement and instead invest in Alys Beach! ;0)

What a great house! It looks so serene and cozy! I really like the curtains in the third photo from the top...the brown diamond shape. Wonder who makes that fabric.
Looks like you had a great time at the beach!

Love this house. And of course it is decorated by Tracery, which is always a plus!
