Book Club: chapter 6

"I would rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck"
- Emma Goldman

Last week I was extremely under the weather. All that I could do was make sure my children were fed and somewhat clean and clothed. I stayed most of the time in bed or on the couch. I can not even tell you how many times we watched Bolt, my daughter's new favorite movie. So this week I strive to get back into being a good mother and wife role. I hope to also catch up with you all. How did your week go with the Artist's Way? Hopefully much better than mine.

This week we read chapter 7

I feel so behind on the book too! We've been so busy with fun summery things lately... hopefully I will have time to get back to it tonight or tomorrow! Glad you are feeling better, there is nothing worse than being a sick mom!

I hope you are feeling better. It's terrible feeling sick all you want to do is sit down on the couch.
Eepp! reminds me I need to read that chapter (and catch up with the activities).

So sorry to hear you've been sick - that's absolutely no fun when the kids are home all day! No real time to rest. Glad to hear you are on the mend...

Not doing so well with my Artist's Way either - I might need to set it down for a while and come back to it in a few weeks.

I love that quote! It makes me feel less guilty about my recent tendency to buy myself flowers once a week instead of saving the money for something "important".

I hope you are feeling better this week. I seriously fell off the Artist's Way wagon over the weekend. I'm still in chapter four and was attempting the reading hiatus. Do you think blogs count? Anyway, I slipped with People magazing of all the crap. Oh well. Back on track for now.

I love that quote. I'm interested to hear what good things are happening with the Artist Way. I'm only on chapter 6 this week, but I think it's been great. I think it's ok to "mess" up in the process (we're all human) as long as we stay determined to better ourselves in this journey to creativity. I think the process is different for each of us, but that's the point... just a few thoughts I had.
